Suction with industrial fans

Suction

By the suction of industrial fans, items can be firmly fixed in the correct position.

Elektror blowers/side channel blowers generate negative pressure to "grab" the materials, thereby ensuring a stable position. The negative pressure can be distributed through multiple air nozzles, so large surfaces can also be secured without any problems.

Let's look at a classic case:

There is a manufacturer whose factory production line consists of a basic machine tool that conveys the cans one by one to various workstations, where subsequent production steps such as painting and pressing are completed. All path conveyance is achieved through a vacuum system.

The original supplier used seven separate side channel blowers to help them achieve this. These blowers all needed manual power reduction, meaning there was a high energy loss. They also generated a lot of unnecessary and harmful heat, and took up a lot of space. If any problems arose, all seven devices had to be checked for faults.

After understanding the situation, Elektror's engineers came up with a new solution, suggesting that the vacuum be generated centrally by one device. This made it possible to maintain a vacuum in all connections between the main machine and workstations without needing individual devices to operate everywhere. In other words, we replaced the seven side channel blowers with just one blower - no vacuum aggregate (that didn't work), just a single blower.

The customer's engineers were very surprised; could the power of one blower be enough to generate the entire pressure for a central vacuum system? After extensive measurements, calculations, and optimizations, Elektror was ultimately successful.

The results were impressive: stable vacuum, minimal energy input, less heat generated, less noise, and less space required.

The product series used in this case is the HRD 7 FU 120/15 BOOSTED series.

Vacuum operation:

  • Volume flow up to 40 cubic meters per hour

  • Pressure up to 17,500 Pa

  • Weight: 138 kg

  • Power consumption: 15 kW The system is used 24/7      every week without any problems.

The current operating frequency of the blower is 90 Hz; this frequency can be increased to 120 Hz. For the customer, this means that there is still sufficient power reserve even if requirements change. Since an electronic frequency converter is used, energy is not wasted through manual deceleration as in the previous solution.

Through the retrofit, the customer saved a significant amount of energy on each production line. In addition, the purchase costs were also lower. The machine is quieter, takes up less space, and the customer is very satisfied.

Do you think the existing air system solution is not mature enough? perhaps Elektror can offer you more possibilities!
