SD (Side channel blowers)

Elektror airsystems' side channel blowers, also known as vacuum pumps or compressors, are marvels of engineering, capable of achieving impressively high pressures far beyond what standard industrial fans can offer. Unlike their counterparts, these blowers focus on precision over sheer volume, producing a more moderate airflow in comparison to, say, centrifugal fans. The magic lies in their unique operating mechanism: air is drawn in by a swiftly spinning vane impeller, then thrust outward by centrifugal force within the blower. This air travels through a side channel, looping back into the core of the blower for a second compression between two additional blades. This ingenious double compression process allows these pumps to achieve remarkable differential pressures, setting a new standard in efficiency and performance.

Side channel blowers for your application

Elektror side channel blowers can generate turbo differential pressures up to 750 mbar (75,000 Pa) and airflows up to 1,150 m³/h. Each type of Elektror vacuum blower works completely oil-free. There are different types of side channel blowers: single stage (SD, 1SD) and double stage (2SD) types as well as side channel blowers, which can only be run with a frequency converter (SD-FU/FUK). Generally, all Elektror pumps can be set and regulated with a frequency converter for energy-efficient use. Gas can also be conveyed with our side channel blowers.
